Professional audio and video recording technology
LawMate develops compact audio and video recording equipment for professional use. Its range includes cameras, portable digital video recorders (DVRs), voice recorders and accessories.
How to choose LawMate equipment
Start by deciding whether you need audio, video or both. Compare size, video resolution, lens field of view, controls and recording playback. For longer sessions, consider battery life, supported memory cards and external power.
Features vary by model
Wi-Fi, motion detection, low-light recording and loop recording are not standard across the entire range. Check the selected model’s specifications, supplied accessories and compatibility before ordering.
Frequently asked questions
How do I choose a LawMate camera or voice recorder?
Choose a voice recorder for audio, or a camera or DVR with a compatible camera when you also need video. Compare the microphone, resolution, field of view, battery and controls. Check the individual model description for its exact capabilities.
How long can a LawMate device record?
Recording time is limited by battery life and available storage. Resolution, recording mode and enabled Wi-Fi also affect it. Storage capacity expressed in hours is not the same as continuous battery runtime. Refer to the selected model’s specifications.
Does a LawMate camera need internet or Wi-Fi?
This depends on the model. Wi-Fi may provide a local connection to a phone and does not automatically mean remote viewing over the internet. Check whether the model records independently, which app it supports and how live viewing works.
Which memory card should I use and how do I transfer recordings?
Check the supported card type, maximum capacity, speed class and formatting requirements. Transfer via USB, a card reader or an app depends on the model. Back up any recordings you need before formatting the card.
Do LawMate cameras have motion detection and night vision?
These features depend on the individual model. Low-light performance does not mean recording in complete darkness, which may require infrared illumination. Check the product specifications for motion detection modes and lighting requirements.
