Wi-Fi provides a direct local connection between the camera and a phone within range. Files are stored on the camera’s memory card; the phone does not have to remain connected for recording.

Can it record without a phone or internet?
Yes. With a microSD card inserted, use the body button to start and stop recording. Wi-Fi is used for phone viewing and control; files are stored in the camera.
Can I view it from anywhere?
This model uses Wi-Fi for a direct local connection to your phone. The phone must be within the camera’s Wi-Fi range. Internet viewing from arbitrary locations is not specified for this connection.
How long does the battery last?
The manufacturer gives approximately 110 minutes of continuous recording with Wi-Fi off and 75 minutes with Wi-Fi on. Actual runtime depends on settings, use and battery condition.
Which memory card is included and supported?

How do I transfer files to a computer?
Use a microSD card reader, or connect the camera by USB-C with the card inserted and power it on. It works as external storage. Files can also be downloaded through PV-Cam Viewer.
How do I set the date and time?
Synchronise them through PV-Cam Viewer. The guide also describes the settime.txt method. Make a short test recording and check the timestamp before important use.
