Detect Bluetooth devices. Locate the signal source.
BlueSleuth-Pro is a handheld Bluetooth and BLE device locator from Berkeley Varitronics Systems. Interchangeable antennas, a touchscreen and Single Device Scan help inspect rooms, vehicles, luggage and areas around payment equipment.

Start with an omnidirectional survey, then use the directional DF antenna and RSSI readings to locate a selected device.
Filtering Focus on relevant devices
TAGS, BLE DEVICES, BT and BEACON filters select the device types you need. Add familiar devices to the WHITE LIST.
Alerts Audio, vibration and voice
Selectable alerts help monitor detections without constantly watching the screen. Stealth mode switches off audible alerts.
What does BlueSleuth-Pro detect?
The receiver detects Bluetooth and BLE devices transmitting in the 2.4 GHz band: personal tracking tags, beacons, wireless accessories and potential card skimmers. Firmware updates extend the manufacturer’s list of supported trackers.
Supported tag models, including unregistered tags, can be detected when they transmit a detectable BLE signal.
A consistent check in three steps
- Survey the areaConnect the omnidirectional SMA antenna, switch on the receiver and select the device filters you need.
- Select a deviceReview the list sorted by signal strength. Add familiar devices to the WHITE LIST and select a device of interest.
- Find the directionConnect the DF antenna. Change your position and orientation slowly while following RSSI readings and alerts.
Before you startDetection depends on transmissions from the device and the surrounding environment. Verifying and locating a BLE tracker may take 1–20 minutes. An AirTag actively connected to its owner’s phone may not appear in a scan. Combine detection results with a physical inspection.

Frequently asked questions
Does it detect AirTag and other trackers?
The manufacturer lists Apple AirTag, Samsung SmartTag 1 and 2, Tile, Chipolo, PebbleBee, Eufy and AirCard. Detection depends on the tag transmitting a BLE signal and support in the installed firmware.
Why can’t I see my own AirTag during a test?
The manufacturer explains that an AirTag actively connected to its owner’s phone may stop broadcasting open BLE advertisements. For testing, enable airplane mode on that phone, switch Bluetooth off separately and move the phone away from the inspection area.
How long does a search take?
The manufacturer allows 1–20 minutes to verify and locate a BLE tracker. Timing depends on advertising intervals and the number of active devices nearby.
Why are two antennas included?
Use the omnidirectional antenna for an initial survey. The directional DF antenna helps establish the direction of a selected device’s signal. Both antennas are included.
Does it detect Bluetooth card skimmers?
The receiver searches for Bluetooth signals and recognises suspicious identifiers in the manufacturer’s list. An alert calls for further inspection; a signal alone does not prove illegal activity.
What is the WHITE LIST for?
Add familiar devices to make other signals easier to review. The TAGS, BLE DEVICES, BT and BEACON filters let you choose which device types appear.
How long do the batteries last?
The manufacturer specifies approximately 2 hours of typical operation. The receiver uses 3 rechargeable AA lithium-ion batteries; 6 are supplied. Charging takes about 2–3 hours. Use the supplied batteries and charger.
Can it find GPS, cellular and Wi-Fi trackers?
BlueSleuth-Pro is designed for Bluetooth and BLE signals. See Yorkie-Pro for broader wireless inspections or BlueSleuth-Lite for compact BLE tag detection.
