Protect 1207i is a handheld DigiScan Labs detector for active cellular and wireless signals. Six channels operate simultaneously, helping you distinguish signal groups and locate their source in rooms or vehicles.

What does Protect 1207i detect?
Cellular transmitters, active GPS trackers, Wi-Fi cameras and Bluetooth devices transmitting within supported bands. Ordinary phones, routers and other legitimate wireless equipment also produce a response.
Six separate frequency bands; coverage is not continuous from 824 MHz to 7 GHz. See the technical specifications for the exact bands.
A systematic check in three steps
- Prepare the areaConnect both antennas and switch off known wireless devices that are not needed for the inspection.
- Monitor the channelsChoose a suitable mode and compare the six signal meters with the ambient RF background.
- Locate the sourceMove slowly towards an increasing signal. Use ATT if needed and physically inspect the suspected location.
Before you startThe device being checked must transmit a radio signal. Switched-off equipment and GPS loggers that only store data are not detected. Protect 1207i is a passive detector: it does not disable transmitters or block communications.

Does it detect listening devices and Wi-Fi cameras?
Yes, when they transmit within supported frequency bands. A reading indicates RF activity; the source must be inspected to establish its purpose.
How does it find a hidden GPS tracker in a vehicle?
By detecting the tracker’s cellular data transmissions. Reception of GPS satellite signals alone is not detected. Sleeping trackers or devices that upload infrequently may require longer observation.
Does it detect switched-off phones and voice recorders?
No. This method detects radio transmitters. A switched-off phone or a recorder storing audio only in its own memory requires a different inspection method.
Does it cover every frequency from 824 MHz to 7 GHz?
No. Six specific bands are monitored simultaneously, with gaps between them. Detection depends on the frequencies used by the device being checked.
What is the detection distance?
The manufacturer specifies 1–10 m. Actual range depends on transmitter power, obstructions, the antenna and surrounding signals; it is not a guaranteed distance for every device.
Does it detect Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and show device names?
It responds to transmissions in supported bands, including 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and higher-frequency Wi-Fi. The additional indicator shows a probable protocol, not a device name or address.
What do the four modes and ATT do?
Silent, Vibration, Visual and Listen change how signals are indicated. ATT lowers sensitivity to help pinpoint a strong signal source.
What powers it and how long does it run?
The manufacturer specifies 10–15 hours with two AAA (LR03) batteries. Runtime depends on battery condition and the selected operating mode.
